Paliwal Park

K.D. Paliwal Park or Krishna Dutta Paliwal Park lies in the heart of Agra city, Uttar Pradesh. It is sprawled in about 70 acres of land. The park features a huge variety of trees and a lake. A road runs across the center of the park.

Paliwal Park connects residential areas of Gandhi Nagar and Vijay Nagar to Sanjay Place, which is the financial hub of Agra. The park is listed among the best places to visit in Agra. The Park was called Hewitt Park during the British rule. Today, it is named in the memory of the first Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Krishna Dutta Paliwal. This was when the Chief Minister of the state was Shri Govind Ballabh Pant.


Paliwal Park harbors a beautiful lake. Presently, it has become a fine tourist attraction with facilities of boating and other recreational activities.

Best Time to Visit

Months from September to April are ideal to visit Paliwal Park. The weather is pleasant during these months, although December and January can be cold in Uttar Pradesh. Tourists can bask in the winter sun and enjoy the scenic view of the park. The trees and the lake offer a wonderful place to spend the entire day here.

How to Reach

Agra is easily accessible by road, rail, and air. The city is about 204 km from Delhi. Kheria airport is just 6 km from the center of the city. Delhi airport is also convenient for tourists coming from far.
